How to Calculate Average:
Average = Sum of All Numbers Picked/Number of Picks Per Game
For California's 6/51 Superlotto Game:
Average = (No. 1 + No. 2 + No. 3 + No.4 + No. 5 + No. 6)/6
Example:
For a drawing in which the numbers picked were "3, 7, 15, 19, 29,
50"
The Average would be the sum of all the numbers drawn "3 + 7 + 15 +
19 + 29 + 50 = 123" divided by the number of picks per game (6),
which would be calculated as: 123/6= 20.5.
Note: The Lotto Pulse Web site rounds the number to the closest whole
number, which in this example would be "21"
Range = No. 6 Position number minus the No. 1 Position Number
Example:
For a drawing in which the numbers picked were "3, 7, 15, 19, 29,
50"
The Range would be the No. 6 Position number (50) minus the No. 1
Position Number (3) which would be calculated as: 50-3 = 47
